What should I do if I have an overdue item?
Answer
The following policies apply to overdue items:
- Fine amounts are as follows:
- Regular collection: 1 Dhs per day, per item.
- Multimedia collection materials: 2.00 Dhs per day, per item.
- 3 Hour loan: fine 5.Dhs for every hour overdue.
- Course reserve, exam, and LRC materials: Dhs 5.00 per hour, per item.
- A fine cannot be paid until the overdue item has been returned and checked in.
- Fines for materials borrowed from the NML must be paid at the CMHS Finance Department.
- The maximum fine for each overdue item is Dhs 45.00.
